Intro

I don’t care who you are and where you are from, you have been offered, at least once, a secret recipe to get rich quick. Internet marketing, investments, voodoo incantations, they’re all there available for you to jump in and get screwed. The fact is, there is no such thing as an easy and fast way to get rich. You have to put the work and dedication if you want to succeed.

I learned about trading 2 years ago. A friend of mine followed a course and was able to generate a very decent amount of money from it and it got my attention. I loved the perspective of working from home, analysing the markets and making money. Who would not ? So I paid an expensive 3 months course and as a result, I had very little money to fund my account. 600$ to be exact. With monthly costs of 65$ and a minimum of 250$ necessary to open a trade, I don’t have to tell you how much I didn’t have room to make mistakes. The thing is, when you start trading, you make mistakes, like anything you do for the first time. So I basically wiped half of my money in 3 months. At this point, I decided to just take my money out and I promised myself to practice a lot more before going back “there”. “There” is the market. “There” is a battleground. If you don’t prepare yourself, if you don’t train, you get beaten hard and that’s what happened to me.

For the past months, I’ve been practicing a lot on the simulator and raising money. It’s not the most glamourous state to be in and I hope you don’t have to get through that but chances are, you might be there. Oh and just to let you know, it’s perfectly fine to be there ! We all go through different paths and we all start from different places with different situations. Some people have a lot of money to start with and some people don’t. Personally, I don’t. I’m an ordinary guy, not poor but not rich either, who wants to improve his situation.

Over the next months, I will talk to you about my journey, past, present and future. I plan to go back to live trading in 3 or 4 months but I want to start sharing with you my experiences right now. Truth is, I will make mistakes and so will you. Trading is a hard endeavor and is no easy sea to sail but it’s worth it. I hope you can learn from my mistakes and also, don’t be afraid to share yours, we are all together in this journey.

Sincerely,

Frank
